Temple Beth El’s Sisterhood
Sisterhood is a highly active arm of the Temple including an annual financial contribution and gift to the Temple.
Sisterhood plans and implements educational and social programs for the women of the congregation and supports Temple-wide events such as Break-the-Fast. They also participate in various community service outreach programs.
Sisterhood presents a personalized Tanach (Bible) to each B’nai Mitzvah student and also sends Chanukah menorahs, candles, gelt, and blessings to all college freshmen.
Annual events include: Sisterhood Shabbat, a complete Shabbat service led entirely by Sisterhood members, and Rosh Hashanah and Passover food sales with a portion of the proceeds donated to our Hebrew School. The Helen Golin Judaica Gift Shop is managed by Sisterhood.
Sisterhood helps fund the Jewish Theological Seminary through the Torah Fund and is closely connected to the Women’s League of Conservative Judaism.

Temple Beth El is a vibrant, warm and inclusive community committed to enhancing Jewish life. We are an egalitarian synagogue with members from all generations. We welcome everyone and would love it if you joined us.
