Temple Rock Cafe

This looks suspiciously like an invitation.
And it is.
We are inviting you to stay home. You heard us correctly. You care about the Temple, but would prefer not to hire a babysitter, not to get dressed up and not go out on a cold, wintry night. If only you could give to our Temple without having to leave the comfort of your home.
You can!

Let us explain.
Temple Beth El was considering doing another Temple Rock Café fundraiser this year. You know the drill: You schlep to the event, grab a glass of wine, eat a few kosher pigs-in-a-blanket, make small talk, listen to some tunes, and buy some auction items. Then, write a check and leave as soon as you can. It just didn’t seem the right thing to do this year. With the economy still struggling, we felt we wanted to do something different. But we still needed to raise money…The solution? A one minute “click-raiser!” Here’s how it works: Rather than donating at the event, you may simply make your donation online (see above) or by sending in the card you received in the mail.
If you’re used to donating money for items you wouldn’t really use anyway, here’s your chance. At the bottom of the card, we’ve given you an opportunity NOT to purchase items, but to donate money you would have spent on these items anyway! So don’t feel left out! Send in your RSVP by January 30, 2010.
And there’s more…
