About Me

    Hey! My name is Dan Hammerman. I am 12 years old. I was born on April 6, 1993 in Stamford Hospital in Stamford, Connecticut. My parents are Joshua and Mara Hammerman and I have an older brother, Ethan, who’s 15. I have three pets: a red beta fish and two standard poodles named Crosby and Chloe, and I love them all very much! My many interests include seeing movies and Broadway shows, acting, listening to music, beating my parents in Ping Pong, hanging with my friends, sleeping, doing things on the computer, watching TV, and eating pizza. My favorite Broadway shows are Rent, Wicked, Avenue Q, Hairspray, Spamalot, Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, Mamma Mia, and many more!

    I have been to many schools. My first school was Long Ridge School from age 2 to age 4. I then started Roxbury Elementary School when I was 5 and went there until 4th Grade. Now, I’m in 7th Grade and I’m currently going to Bi-Cultural Day School which I have been going to since 5th Grade. My Camp is Camp Ramah New England, and I have been going there since 2002. I have so many friends there and other places. I am obsessed with movies and Broadway shows. My friends even sometimes call me Moviefone!! I have too many favorite movies to name.

    I love to travel with my family. We take a trip every summer. We’ve been to the Baseball Hall Of Fame, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Disney World, Disneyland, Niagara Falls, the Grand Canyon, Rome, Venice, Milan, Florence, Paris, London, Yellowstone National Park, Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Washington State, and many more. I’ve enjoyed all of them so much but my many trips to Israel have been really special. Last summer’s trip was most special because I got to read Torah for the first time at our group’s Bar Mitzvah celebration at the Kotel and because we found a beautiful tallit with scenes of Jerusalem that I’ll be wearing for the first time at my Bar Mitzvah

    Another huge part of my life is music!! Music almost is my whole life!! I like to download many different kinds of music onto my iPod, like Broadway, punk, rock, and pop. I listen to music every day, whenever I get the chance!!
