broadwayTemple Beth El is pleased to present a musical evening, The Phantom Unmasked—The Songs of Broadway, featuring award-winning tenor Franc D’Ambrosio. D’Ambrosio is best known for his portrayal of the “Phantom” in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Tony Award winning musical, The Phantom of the Opera. With over 11 years and 2,300 performances, he gained the distinction of “The World’s Longest Running Phantom,” a title he retained for over a decade.

Born in the Bronx and a graduate of the Hartt School of Music in Hartford, D’Ambrosio made his Broadway debut in the first revival of Sweeney Todd. His resume includes the role of Anthony Corleone, the opera-singing son of Al Pacino and Diane Keaton, in the film Godfather III, and the male lead, Tony, in the pre-Broadway, national tour of Barry Manilow’s Copacabana. His one-man show, Franc D’Ambrosio’s Broadway, sold out during its 3-year, 150-city tour.

Cantor Magda Fishman will make a guest appearance during the program and join Mr. D’Ambrosio in singing a few of his favorite Broadway tunes.

General admission tickets are $50; reserved seating is $75; and student tickets are $36. TBE congregants and their guests should purchase tickets online before September 18, at which time tickets will go on sale to the general public.
