Debra Adler-Klein
She has practiced internal medicine and infectious diseases in our community for the past 30 years and has served on many local boards. She is currently on the Kids in Crisis Program Committee and Crisis Task Force and the TBE Reopening Task Force. Debra established the Matthew Klein Sanctuary Memorial Garden in 2017, in memory of Matthew Klein, beloved husband, father, grandfather, dear friend, TBE volunteer and mensch! In addition to practicing medicine and taking care of any and all of those around her, Debra loves to garden, root for the Yankees and spend time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Sue is also on the Board and Executive Committee of AJC Westchester/Fairfield and a member of the Board and Chair of the Audit Committee of Met Council on Jewish Poverty. She is on the Board and Treasurer of Fairview country club where she is a very bad golfer! She is also on the Syracuse Whitman School Advisory council and a member of the Hermès Society of Columbia Business School. Erica lives in Stamford with her husband, two young daughters, and their dog Crosby. She joined Temple Beth El upon moving to Stamford, and is proud to have her daughters be 4th generation TBE members. In her free time, she loves nothing more than being with her family at the beach. Eric Sigman
I am a veteran math educator who has worked as a teacher, administrator and consultant for over 20+ years. I currently work at Cloonan Middle School in Stamford teaching personal finance. In the fall, our eldest will be starting his second year at Cooper Union School of Engineering in NYC and our other 3 children will be attending Westhill. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family playing basketball, Tecmo Bowl, Uno or Monopoly. I am very excited about joining the TBE board and look forward to being part of the TBE kehillah. |

Debra Adler-Klein has lived in Stamford since the Adler family moved here in 1969. She and her husband Matthew(z”l) joined Temple Beth El 35 years ago where their three children, Josh, Rachel and Samantha attended TBE Religious School and celebrated their bar and bat mitzvahs.
Sue Frieden has been a member of TBE for almost 40 years. Her son was a bar mitzvah at TBE 30 years ago. She is a member of the Finance committee and previously served as Assistant Treasurer.
Erica Pomerantz has lived and worked in Stamford for over a decade. She is a clinical psychologist who has spent her career delivering preventive and intervention supports to children and their families. She is the Director of Early Childhood Services at the Child Guidance Center of Southern Connecticut and also serves as the Lower School Psychologist at King School.
Hi, my name is Eric Sigman, and I have been a member of TBE since 2019. I moved to Stamford in 2007 with my beautiful wife, Rebecca, and our four children who are now teens (13, 15, 15, 16). In 2019, our youngest daughter Sophie started at the Religious School and had her bat mitzvah at TBE in February of 2020. We were warmly welcomed and began to regularly attend services and events. Recently, I began serving as Vice President of the Men’s Club and chairing Hearing Men’s Voices.
