samuel-kassowThe TBE Scholar’s Program proudly presents an evening with Dr. Samuel Kassow, an American historian of the history of Ashkenazi Jewry and author of the award-winning book, Who Will Write Our History? Rediscovering a Hidden Archive from the Warsaw Ghetto.

Dr. Kassow is also the Charles H. Northam Professor of History at Trinity College and exhibition advisor at the POLIN Museum of the History of the Polish Jews. He was born in a displaced persons’ camp in Germany. His mother survived because a classmate hid her and her sister in a cave underneath the barn on his family’s farm; his father was arrested by the Russians and spent the duration of the war in a Soviet prison camp.

The community is invited. There is no charge.

This TBE Scholar’s Program is made possible by a gift in tribute to the memory of Dr. Hesh Romanowitz, z”l.
